INFOGRAPH ABOUT ME

Hello every one!

Today we learnt to create info graph using Piktochart, Mam Tehseen beautifully taught us, the use of Piktochart to create the Info graph. As it is completely new experience for me and I am feeling really happy for it. Mam asked us to prepare an info graph about ourselves. It was really tough task as it took a lot of time to get completed.
Here I am going to share the info graph about me.

Opening Ceremony

English works program has the tradition to arrange an opening ceremony for the new batch every year.
As usual a formal gathering was arranged for us on 16th April at beach luxury hotel Karachi.
Our teachers had told us about the date for opening ceremony on the opening ceremony. So the students who wanted to perform in the ceremony had started preparing from the start of April. Sir Usman Hashmi helped the students of the play to get them ready to perform.
On the day of all students reached the APMF at 9:00  am, and left for APMF at 9:30 am.
 The program started at 11:00 am sharp with the recitation of Holly Quran. After the recitation we enjoyed an awesome performance of the play.
The best thing of the opening ceremony were sessions with the Americans, we had three sessions with Americans. The session about leadership by Mr. Mark was really awesome. Miss. Suzen gave a
presentation about the presentation skills.
After session by Miss. Suzen was Sir. Usman appreciated the whole team who played their role for such successful ceremony. At last we have a tea party, and a photo session and captured a lot of memories of the beautiful day in our mobile phone cameras.

Beach Cleanup (community service project)

A community service is an unpaid work, intended to be of social use, or it may be environment friendly job.

Being a citizen of Pakistan and a student of English works Program it is really important for me to give time for community services, as it is prime responsibility of a good citizen to serve his community. So our teachers of teachers here in English Works Program scheduled a community service project on 13th April 2019.

One day before the day of beach cleanup activity, we came to know about the pollution in earth due to plastic bags. We made info graphs about marine life and increase in trash due to use of plastic. That class motivated us a lot to take part in an activity to clean our land. 

I was too much interested to go for Beach cleanup activity.Unfortunate on 13^th April it was my paper. I came to know from my fellows that they enjoyed a lot there at the beach. They picked up a lot of trash and cleaned up the beach. They were too much happy on serving the community by the activity.

After cleanup activity some of them enjoyed camel ride, and while coming back Horizon Team had planned a good breakfast for them. I missed the activity, I want to have such an opportunity again to serve my community with my friends.

REFLECTION

Today I am going to write the reflection of the classes I have taken so far here in English works
program.
English work has been a very helpful and awesome program for me so far, as I have learnt many
new things here.
The first and most important thing I learnt here at English work is Time management and
punctuality, which is a result of strictness of our teachers toward our attendance.
From the classes here I have improved my confidence to speak in front of audience. My English
vocabulary has also been improved. From the computer classes here I learnt blogging, which is a
new experience for me, through which I can share my ideas to people through web. As we also
watch videos of native English speakers in the class which has improved my English listening.
The activities which I did here at English works in collaboration with my teammates, gave me
very important lessons. I improved my group working skills, time management and creativity
skills from the activities. I learnt how to communicate with others, to give and receive feedback.
I visited US consulate general Karachi for the concert where I met Americans. From which I
learnt how to interact with the Americans.
As English Works program has improved my employ-ability skills even have just taken 20
classes. I feel really proud to be a part of English Works.

Ms Word Typing Task

Hello Everyone,
Today  miss Tehseen gave us a task of Ms word, Maam has given us a picture in which four lines are written with different fonts, colours and word arts. I have completed  the task right know, I searched a lot for the fonts and it was really a time taking task. I am really happy for completing the task.

My New Team Mate 😊

Hello Everyone!  Guys Today I am going to introduce my new Team mate here at English Works. I really like his name and hope you people will also find his name a beautiful one.
The Pleasing name of my new team mate is Avinash. He is interested in catching the nature in his camera. His Hobbies are reading and travelling. Like me he has a special talent of swimming. His favorite song is "teri matti" and his favorite book is "5 am Clubs". Avinash never gives up, his short term goal is to get enrolled in a Good University for his Bachlors and He wants to become a Wilderness Photographer in Future.
He speaks four languages English, Urdu, Sindhi and Marwadi.
 Now a days he is learning English and Business skills with us.
I am really proud to have Avinash as my Team Mate.

My debut in Blogging

Hello Everyone!
I am Mesum Abbas. I belong to the land of mountains, Gilgit Baltistan, which is an awesome place for tourism. I did my intermediate in Pre Engineering From Public School and College Gilgit. Now a days I am living in Karachi the city of lights.
Recently I succeeded to get selected in "English works" which is an awesome scholarship program by US Consulate General Karachi. It is really a great achievement for me to get selected in English Works 2019.
Here we have Excellently trained teachers, which are very friendly to us.
I am learning a lot of new things here, such as creativity,time management, leadership, communication skills, Computer skills and many more.
I am expecting to a have 21st century's Employ ability skills i.e leadership, Communication, Collaboration, Communication and Entrepreneurship from "English Works".
Today its my first blogging class and its my first Blog and I am really happy for this new experience. Thanks.
